SnipNotes 1.3 released – Try it out for free!

I’m proud to announce the release of the next big SnipNotes update, which I’ve already covered in a previous blog post. There is however one aspect I haven’t revelead yet: SnipNotes can now be tried out for free! To tell you all the details, I will be using a FAQ style this time.

Download on the App Store

SnipNotes can now be tried out for free – what does that mean?

Starting today you can download SnipNotes from the App Store for free. You can try out all the features for as long as you like, but only save five notes at the same time. The full version is available as an in-app purchase.

I’m an existing user – do I have to buy the app again?

No! When you update from a previous version, the in-app purchase will already be unlocked. If you install the app on a new device, you can use the “Restore purchases” button located in the settings menu.

Many other apps offer a “freemium” model where you get a basic app for free and can purchase additional features. How is SnipNotes different from that?

In my opinion the major problem with this pricing model is that the app’s best features are often locked behind a paywall and most users will never be able to use them. From a user’s perspective, the single feature you want to try out the most is often not available in the free version.

With SnipNotes you can try out every aspect of the app for as long as you like. Once you are satisfied and begin to use the app a little more, you can make the purchase with a good conscience because you know what you get is going to work.

Thank you very much for trying out SnipNotes! Please tell me what you think about the app and contact me with any feedback.
